Holiday Insurance For Your Complete Peace of Mind
You needn't worry about shopping around for travel insurance, because our policy has been exclusively designed for Balkan Holidays based on our many years' experience of sending travellers all over the world.
Most importantly we include a 24-hour medical emergency service, a must for any traveller overseas. In addition, we cover the cost of your holiday if you have to cancel before departure, loss of baggage, travel delay and even the cost of getting you on another ferry or plane if you miss yours because of an accident on the motorway!
Travel insurance is so important that as responsible tour operators we have to make sure that all our customers have a valid travel insurance policy to cover the full period of the holiday.
In fact we're so confident that our policy is one of the best available that we even offer a 14 day money-back guarantee.
If you have decided not to buy our insurance, we will need a photocopy of your policy showing all the names on the booking form for us to check and keep on file. This will enable us to assist you by liaising with your insurance company in the event of an emergency. We reserve the right to decline a policy, which in our opinion does not offer adequate protection comparable to ours.
Many people think that the form EHIC is a substitute for travel insurance. It is not, as it only pays some emergency medical costs and doesn't cover repatriation.
The following is a summary of cover only. You will receive the full policy wordings at the time of purchase, which define the cover, conditions and exclusions. You have a 14-day cooling-off period during which you can return it and get a refund if you have a justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover provided. The insurance is arranged with White Horse Insurance Ireland Ltd.

Important Notice
We would like to draw your attention to some important features of your travel insurance including:
- Insurance Document
You should read this document carefully. It gives full details of what is and is not covered and the conditions of the cover. Cover can vary from one policy to another so you should familiarise yourself with this particular insurance.
- Conditions and Exclusions
Specific Conditions and Exclusions apply to individual sections of your insurance, whilst General Exclusions and Conditions will apply to the whole of your insurance.
- Health
This insurance contains restrictions regarding pre-existing medical problems concerning the health of the people travelling and of other people upon whose health the trip depends. You are advised to read the document carefully.
- Property Claims
These claims are paid based on the value of the goods at the time you lose them and not on a 'new for old' or replacement cost basis. Allowance will be made for their age and likely condition.
- Limits
This insurance has limits on the amount the insurer will pay under each section. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example, for any one item or for valuables in total.
- Excesses
Under some Sections of this insurance, claims will be subject to excess. This means you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim under each applicable section.
- Reasonable Care
You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property, as you would if you were not insured. The amount insurers will pay for property left unattended in a public place or unattended vehicle is very limited, as specified in the wording.
- Dangerous Sports & Pastimes
You may not be insured if you are going to take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a generally recognised risk of injury. Please check that this insurance covers you, or ask your agent.
- Fraudulent claims
It is a criminal offence to make a fraudulent claim.
Material Facts
You must advise us of all material facts. A material fact is one that is likely to influence the insurers in accepting your insurance. This could be the state of your health or that of a close relative or any planned hazardous activities. This requirement applies to any changes in these things prior to departure. Please refer to general condition 2 of the policy wording. If you are in any doubt as to whether a fact is "material" you should ask us. Please contact Voyager Insurance Services on 01483 562662. If you do not tell us this may result in your claim being invalid. Please note that calls may be recorded. |
