Surrounded by lush forests, Albena’s centrepiece is undoubtedly its magnificent, wide 7-kilometre long sandy beach, which shelves gently into safe and calm waters perfect for children. Elsewhere, neat flowerbeds and lawns fringe the sands and the well-kept streets are largely traffic free, adding to its child-friendly appeal.
When you feel energetic, there are many sporting amenities available for all ages, including waterskiing, minigolf, ten-pin bowling and beach volleyball, together with amusement arcades and a fun fair for children.
Around the rest of the resort - miniature trains costing just a few pence a ride will take you around - you will find two bazaar-style shopping malls, together with restaurants, pavement cafes and bars, many of which are right next to the beach. And when night falls, Albena moves up a gear – but not too much - with a choice of lively discos and taverns open till late.
When you fancy a change, there’s also the bonus of regular buses to take you to nearby Golden Sands with all its bright lights and attractions.

Location: On the northern Black Sea coast, not far from the Romanian border, about 40 km from Varna Airport and near the town of Dobrich.
 Kiddie Club: The Balkan Holidays Kiddie representative arranges a lively programme of activities for kids aged 4 to 12 years.

Nights Out: Popular nightspots include Karribi Sport & Karaoke Bar on the beach and the Kaliopa or luxurious Ciel Bleu restaurants. Otherwise, just enjoy the wide array of hotel restaurants or folk taverns in the resort. The Bulgarian Fiesta restaurant is a must thanks to its spectacular fire dancing shows.
