I was very impressed with the hotel, the resort and the local Bulgaria people. The people of Bulgaria are warm, kind, accommodating and very friendly.
I am so impressed with Bulgaria as a country that we will be returning next year skiing, this time to try another resort and are seriously looking at Bulgaria for the summer.
The people of Bulgaria will be a great asset to the EU when you join in 2007 and my only regret is that I have not visited your special and memorable country before.
I have posted a message on bulgariaski.com's discussion board which hopefully will result in many more people visiting Bansko, because Bansko is really the place where dreams come true.

- I have recently returned from a Balkan Holiday at the Samokov Hotel at Borovets in Bulgaria. My name is David Bowman and my son and I took a skiing holiday with your company. During the holiday I required some assistance from one of your holiday reps at the Samokov Hotel, a Bulgarian lady named Prolet. I approached her in the evening and despite the fact that she was off shift and sitting with some friends she dropped everything and offered me first class and effective help. I felt that nothing was too much trouble for her and she did help me out of a bit of a fix. I was thoroughly impressed with her selfless and professional attitude and I would ask that you pass on my thanks to Prolet. In future I will always recommend the staff of Balkan Holidays to my friends if they ask my advice on holiday destinations.

- I have recently returned from holiday to Pamporovo in Bulgaria. I stayed at the Mourgavets hotel. I would like to say thank you for magnificent time. This is the fourth time to this resort and the second time in Mourgavets. The hotel I think is second to none and is the best in the resort. ... I cannot understand why not more people go to the mountains in the summer, it is fantastic. Maybe some more publicity is needed. Please, pass on my thanks to all those involved.

- My husband & I were on holiday at the Bonita hotel, Golden Sands from 22nd August till 5th September. Unfortunately for the 2nd year running I fractured my leg. The staff at the Bonita could not do enough for me. It may be only 3 stars but it could not be better. Nick Dragnev and his staff were excellent, I can not praise them enough for their help in the resort and at the airport, where everything was taken care of.

We were supposed to fly from Edinburgh to Varna but this was changed to Bourgas. While we appreciate the reasons, being pregnant, I found it a LONG, uncomfortable journey, especially on the return as we had to picked up at 2am!! Needless to say I felt quite sick the whole way.
On the plus side, we stayed in the Perla hotel which we found to be great. It was clean, welcoming and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Twice we asked for help at reception- once because the showerhead wasn't working properly and once because an article of clothing had fallen from our balcony to the unoccupied one below - both things were dealt with immediately.
We were impressed and would certainly stay there again if we went back. We also found the rep, Ema, very friendly and helpful. We also chose to try the restaurants you recommended and found them to be great too, especially the Lion Pub in party street, it was excellent!
Often, people must contact you about the bad things they come across on holiday, so we thought you'd appreciate hearing something positive. Thank you. Tom

I have recently returned from a very pleasant holiday in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, staying half-board the Augusta Hotel in Zora village area of the resort.
The outstanding contribution to the enjoyment was the hotel, which was superb in every aspect. The location and size were ideal; the premises full of charm and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
This is my first holiday with Balkan and althogh I was highly delighted overall, I would like to register my dissapointed that the hotel Augusta is no longer featured by yourselves.

- Having never flown or being abroad in my life I decided to go to Bulgaria for 2 weeks with Bakan Holidays - as you can appreciate I was terrified at eth thought of flying and being in a strange country as was my son who came with me. I would just like to say a big thank you to that made it a fantastic holiday - the flight was great, particularly enjoyed by my son. The hotel Mena Palace and the staff were all second to none. Only complaint it went by too quick!
I have enjoyed it so much I have persuaded my friends from Nurton-on-Trent to come with us next year and have booked already!

- Dear Balkan Holidays, We are mailing this to you, becuse we are pleased!!! Often people only "open their mouth" when they are not pleased. We think that this is a wrong way of doing things. We have had our vacation in Bulgaria 1996, every year with your company and almost every year mountain/beach holiday. All the years' our family have travelled to Pamporovo and Sunny Beach.. now to the point! In Pamporovo you have a Balkan rep called Eli Abrasheva .. she is a wonderful and very professional person! On one side she is care-taking and on the other hand she is very good helping us organizing our holiday, to make us experience most.
We hope to be able to visit Bulgaria next year, have already started to save money for our next summer-holiday!

I would like to thank you for changing my hotel for my recent holiday in Sunny Beach. After 1¾ hours in the scrum to get through Passport control I was in no mood to hear the information given to me by the rep, that I had been moved. On calming down and getting to the Kalina Garden hotel, I realised that I was probably better off. The air-conditioning was godsend and I don't know why I originally chose a hotel with none in the rooms. Also the food was very good.Thank you, once again and I look forward to studying next year's brochure, as I would have no problem in coming back to Bulgaria.

- Flower House Apartments (Zora village) at the northern part of Sunny Beach are fantastic. Accommodation was first class, very spacious, very well maintained. Added bonus of a very large terrace and a balcony. Nice quiet area, taxis to Sunny Beach are cheap and plentiful. Very close to Windmill and Dolphin restaurants. Top quality apartments.

just came back from Sunny Beach, me my wife and two kids aged
10 & 6, all had a very good time. We ended up in the Globus as we moved
hotels due to unforseen problem in the Trakia Plaza - but it endedup a
move for the better we thought loony loo was absolutey brillant what a
laugh he was. Great fun and great with the kids, also the Balkan reps
were very helpful and did everything the could for us after the move,
which caused a bit of a problem at first but all ended up good in end.
Only problem was no in flight tvs for kids to watch but not a real
problem just they got bored on 3 1/2 hour flight, but all in all great
time with Balkan Hoildays and already looking at next years books
so any discount vouchers Balkan let me know haha

From being upgraded on our flight out of the Gatwick, we felt really privileged, everything was first class. Whilst visiting Golden Sands, my wife and I visited the Dana Palace to enquire about the facilities there (as we had come close to booking there originally, but there was no family room available for us at that time).
On our visit to the Dana Palace, a lady who introduced herself as Diana (Chief Receptionist ) very kindly showed us one of the family rooms which was unoccupied at that particular time. It was *Room 55A*
** I am writing to specifically request that my family (wife and I plus two sons aged 8 and 4) be allocated that very same family room 55A. as it was absolutely ideal for our wishes.
We have so pleased with our first Balkan Holiday. We hope that this next one will be followed by further future holidays.

- I would just like to say this will be my 16th time going to Albena, I have stayed 13 times in the Bratislava which has now gone, and three times in the Drouzhba hotel I cannot find any fault, the place is fabulous the people fantastic wonderful bars and restaurants with wonderful food. Excellent beach the staff in both the hotels have been so helpful in every way and my husband and myself will be there again June. We found the whole process to be easy and enjoyable, this was despite some
doubts before we set off when I rang you to ascertain some information
regarding our accomodation.

I had booked the apartment online, and didn't realise that we would not be
told in advance any details of exact location, whether we could easily park
the car we had hired, how close it was to the beach, etc. Luckily, my fears
were unfounded (although I think your telephone sales staff could do with a
little more training in responding to such enquiries).
I am particularly keen to point out how incredibly welcoming, helpful,
pleasant and genuinely nice our neighbouring apartment owners, Sania and
Anna, were. Both my husband and I were completely shocked that they had
apparently previously been host to a British family who were dissatisfied
with the standard of the accomodation. We can only assume that the people
concerned were unused to foreign travel, or the normal accoutrements of
apartments abroad. We found the apartment to be eminently suitable for a
small family, simply but adequately furnished and provided for, and in a
lovely, quiet location.
Throughout our stay, Anna and Sania were constantly attentive without being
in the least intrusive. They gave advice when asked, offered us lifts up
from the town whenever we needed them if we were tired, showed us short-cuts
for walking, gave us extremely useful information, and generally went out of
their way to make us feel welcome in their country.The apartment was kept
meticulously clean, linen was changed often, they even washed up dishes we
had left in the sink when we went out for the day!
I would be really pleased if you could pass on our thanks to Sania and Anna,
as I have mislaid their email address at the moment. We have already told
many people of our satisfaction with your company,and our accomodation in
Cavtat.Anna and Sania without a doubt enhanced our holiday tremendously, and
their solicitious care and genuine warmth and friendliness would certainly
encourage us to use your company when booking a holiday in the future.
