Dalmatian Highlights Cruise follows one of Europe's sunniest coastlines, so there are ample opportunities here for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing, with plenty of cultural and historic sites at literally every stop. Starting from Dubrovnik, this cruise will take you around the islands of Korcula, Brac, Hvar and Mljet, and visiting cities and towns of Dubrovnik, Split, Skradin, Sibenik, Trogir and Slano.
Dubrovnik Cruise Itinerary - MS Adriatic Pearl
Day 1 Saturday: Dubrovnik
Arrive from the UK and embark from 11am onwards. You will be served a welcome drink with snack and offered a chance to meet your Cruise Director, the Captain and the crew of MS "Adriatic Pearl”. Instructions are given and safety measures explained. Dinner on board and overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 2 Sunday: Dubrovnik - Korcula
After breakfast there is an optional guided tour of Dubrovnik. You will be transferred to the Old Town gate where you will meet with a local expert who will unveil fascinating history and tales of standalone Dubrovnik Republic - the only naval power able to compete with the Venetians. Departure for the island of Korcula is in the early afternoon and on the way there will be a short stop for swimming and relaxing on one of the beautiful Elaphiti Islands. Lunch will be served on board before late afternoon arrival to Korcula, the alleged birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. After arrival there is an optional guided walking tour of Korcula town. Overnight in Korcula. Dinner is taken at a restaurant of your choice, or on board for guests with full board option.
Day 3 Monday: Korcula - Pucisca - Omis
After breakfast sail towards the island of Brac, passing the peninsula of Peljesac and the south-eastern part of Hvar island. Weather permitting there will be a stop in a secluded bay before continuing towards Pucisca, which is known for some of the purest and best quality architectural limestone in the world. There is an optional short walking tour visiting the stonemasonry school where you will learn of the Brac limestone and centuries old traditions before continuing to Omis. In the afternoon there is an optional boat excursion up the river Cetina. Overnight in Omis. Dinner is taken at a restaurant of your choice, or on board for guests with full board option.
Day 4 Tuesday: Omis - Split (excursion Skradin, Sibenik and Trogir)
After breakfast you will join an excursion to Skradin, Sibenik and Trogir. Leaving Omis by coach you will travel through the karst Sibenik hinterland to Skradin. Skradin is situated on the upper end of Krka estuary on the entrance to the National Park where you will have free time to explore. After Skradin there will be a short stop in the town of Sibenik, with a guided tour of the old town. Before arrival to Split there will be a quick stop in Trogir. There will be free time to explore the main attraction - the Cathedral of St Lawrence. On arrival to Split Old Town you can join an optional walking tour with a local guide who will show you the monumental Diocletian's Palace which was built over 1700 years ago. The whole Old Town is part of the UNESCO's list of World Cultural Heritage. Overnight in Split and dinner on board.
Day 5 Wednesday: Split - Hvar - Vela Luka
Today sail towards the island of Hvar, known as the sunniest island in Croatia and famous for its endless fields of lavender & rosemary, the beautiful coast and charming historical towns. Your destination is Hvar, a buzzing Mediterranean town of outstanding beauty and character. There is an optional short guided walk around the Old Town before continuing to Korcula Island. Enjoy a swimming break near beautiful Pakleni Otoci (islands) and a fried fish snack. Arrival in Vela Luka on Korcula island in the late afternoon. Overnight in Vela Luka. Dinner is taken at a restaurant of your choice, or on board for guests with full board option.
Day 6 Thursday: Vela Luka - Pomena (Island of Mljet) - Slano
After leaving stunning Vela Luka port, the Captain will hand-pick a bay for some swimming and sunbathing, before proceeding to Pomena on the island of Mljet - one of the greenest islands of Croatia, famous for an astonishing National Park with two turquoise salt water lakes. Here, there is ample time to explore the park individually or with an optional excursion. Or you can relax on a small boat that will take you to a tiny island on one of the lakes, where you can discover a monastery and a church built in the 12th century. In the late afternoon we depart towards Slano. Overnight in Slano. Dinner is taken at a restaurant of your choice, or on board for guests with full board option.
Day 7 Friday: Slano - Dubrovnik
After breakfast there is an optional guided tour "Taste of Dalmatia" where you will visit Ston, a small town famous for its 5km long city walls (the longest one in Europe) and visit a local winery where you have the opportunity to taste some fine Dalmatian wines. Later, set sail to Dubrovnik, cruising beneath the breathtaking Old Town and then to port of Gruz. Overnight in Dubrovnik. Dinner is taken at a restaurant of your choice, or on board for guests with full board option.
Day 8 Saturday: Dubrovnik
After breakfast disembarkation follows by 9am. Transfer to Dubrovnik Airport for homeward journey or hotel of your choice for second week.
