Since 2008/09 Borovets has invested further to improve its facilities, these new improvements include a new 4-man chair lift on Markudjik 2 and snow cannons installed on Yastrabets 2 and 3. Combine this with the liveliest apres-ski programme of all the resorts Borovets really has it all.

SKI KINDERGARTEN - CHILD CARE |

The Ski kindergarten is available for children aged 4-7 years and is located a few minutes walk away from the Hotel Rila. It is open 7 days a week between 08.30 – 16.30. Prices range from approximately £13 for 1 day to £76 for 6 full days. This includes supervision, ski pack (skis, sticks, boots), daily tuition (2 hours - full days; 1 hour - half days), lunch (full days only), games, sweets and tea.
The kindergarten is booked and paid for in resort, however please advise Balkan Holidays of your requirements at the time of booking, so that we can inform the resort staff prior to your arrival.

OFF SLOPE CHILD CARE |

Borosport has a Nursery for children aged 1-3 located in Hotel Rila, which opens between 08.00 - 17.00 and 19.00 - 07.00. Prices (approximate) range from £9 per half day to £16 per night. Lunch included (when applicable) plus morning/afternoon tea or milk and biscuits. Please, note that reservations can be made locally at the ski school.
The nursery is booked and paid for in resort, however please advise Balkan Holidays of your requirements at the time of booking, so that we can inform the resort staff prior to your arrival.

SKI & SNOWBOARDING EQUIPMENT HIRE |

Experienced staff is at hand at both the Samokov and Rila ski depots to professionally fit you with your hired equipment. Their convenient locations allow a speedy transition from the resort to the Mountain.

SKI LIFT WORKING HOURS & SKI GUIDES |
|
|
All ski lifts operate between 8.45 am - 4.30 pm and are closed for half a day each week, and one full day each month for technical checks. There are currently no ski guides available.

SKIING AFTER SUNSET |

Night skiing is available from 17.30 until 21.00 on the slope in front of Rila Hotel. A special lift pass for night skiing can be purchased locally in addition to pre-booked lift passes.

MEDICAL ARRANGEMENTS |
|
|
Mountain rescue service, ambulance, clinic (with doctor and nurse) and first aid service is on hand on all ski slopes. There are x-ray facilities available in both Borovets and the town of Samokov.
In almost all cases, medical services must be paid in cash locally. Credit/debit cards are not widely accepted. Receipts will be provided to enable you to claim back from your insurance company once you return to the UK. You should inform your Balkan Holidays Representative about all medical cases and they will be able to provide assistance.

EXCURSIONS |

If you have aching limbs after a few days on the slopes, why not try one of our excursions. You can take a full or half day trip to Sofia, Plovdiv or the fascinating Rila Monastery. A Skidoo Safari is great fun. A trained operator takes you through the wood trails of the resort, after that you can have a go! All excursions can be booked through your Balkan Holidays Representative locally. Children aged 2-11 pay half price on all excursions.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars for every type of occasion, whether it is be a cosy inn with a log fire or a vibrant bar with music and dancing. There are also numerous discos, dotted around the resort. Wherever you go you'll find the atmosphere in all the venues fantastic, with people from all over Europe mixing together and having a great time.

There are a wide variety of shops, stalls and kiosks in the village centre. The shops in the Hotel Rila and Samokov sell branded ski wear and other clothes, souvenirs, and snacks. The stalls, situated along the main street sell a variety of skis, ski clothing, clothes, CDs and souvenirs. |
