The majestic Southern Carpathian Mountains that cut through Romania have long been popular with international tourists heading for the skillfully prepared slopes, desperate to try a new skiing destination.
Romania is famous for being home to Europe's highest population of Brown Bears and home to over a third of all European plant species the Carpathians are now becoming more recognised for their fantastic up and coming ski and snowboard resorts. Without doubt Romania's most popular and most developed ski resort is Poiana Brasov, which continues to grow each year in popularity due to its continued investment in its infrastructure, while still remaining fantastic value for money.
Nestled in a marvelous landscape on a plateau at the foot of Postavarul Mountain, only 12kms from the Medieval town of Brasov, the resort of Poiana Brasov or “The Sunny Glade” offers guests a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, alongside great skiing and snowboarding opportunities. In the most recent Post Office Travel Services report into the best value ski resorts across Europe, the USA and Canada, the resort of Poiana Brasov was ranked 1st, as the best value ski resort, which will only help to not only enhance the resorts image but guarantee its continued growth and popularity.

Mr. Roy Thomson
My name is Roy Thomson and me and my family recently went skiing through Balkan Holidays to Pamporovo in Bulgaria and stayed at the Snezhanka Hotel. We went from the 19th December untill 26th December 2010.
The reason for my letter is to tell you that you have a fantastic member of staff in Maria who was our rep. She was polite friendly and professional and unlike many reps I have come across on my travels never made false promises, always did what she said she was going to do and provided excellent local knowledge of the area and the people.
She really helped make our Holiday special and gave a very favourable impression of your company. Having worked in a customer service/sales enviroment myself for 20 years I know it is important that posative feedback should be given when someone such as Maria does an excellent Job. She really is a credit too you and I would have no problem in recommending your company on the basis of the service she provided. I hope you will pass on my comments to her as I feel she made a tremendous effort to make our stay so enjoyable.
Well done Maria and a big thank you from Roy, Anne, Tom and George
Mr. Bott, Borovets
This was our first family skiing holiday and we had a great time. We had great ski instructors and the reps were friendly and helpful. Thanks very much!
Mrs. Hayes, Sunny Beach
All very last minute, but one of the best holidays we've ever had - we would definitely go back/recommend.
Mr. Maltby, Dubrovnik
Everything went smoothly. A wonderful holiday
