Sol Meliá which is the largest resort/ hotel company in the world, has shown interestin Croatia and therefore had dedicated budgets to improve their exposure in the country by reopening two resort hotels in stunning Umag , Istria area. The hotels are called: the Meliá Coral and the Meliá Istrian Villas which are well known locally.
Brandnew and renovated Meliá Coral provides a total of 244 standard luxury rooms, 6 luxury suites as well as a range of different options for those visiting on corporate events and meetings. The resort also boasts a modern spa, huge swimming pool, a sun bed (although the weather is outstanding in summer), tapas bar and Mediterranean tavern. You will never feel as if there is no much to do or find yourself short of ideas. There is also an outdoor area which is great for social events and the two new leisure areas are perfect for fun and relaxation.
The other resort is the popular Meliá Istrian Villas which is an idyllic oasis of spacious apartments situated alongside the stunning clean sea and just 2km from the center of Mag, which offers great scenery, traditional architecture as well as modern design and superior comfort. There is a little for everyone and its a place where visitors will enjoy the natural fresh and welcoming environment and total privacy or alternatively take part in a wide range of sports activities. This year the resort also opened a new restaurant called O Grill.
