The beaches are ideal for children of all ages, who will never be bored in one of the fantastic resorts, whilst the abundant bars and restaurants will ensure that adults will want for nothing.”
Announcing the new route, London Southend Airport’s Managing Director Alastair Welch said: “We are delighted to be adding Bulgaria and the beautiful Black Sea coast to our growing list of destinations for summer 2014. Balkan Holidays and Southend airport will, I am sure, prove a very popular combination for residents of South Essex and London.” He added: “Balkan Holidays fly state-of-the-art Airbus A320 aircraft, so passengers will arrive in Bourgas fresh and relaxed having enjoyed all the creature comforts these planes offer.”
Al Titterington, Managing Director at Newquay Cornwall Airport commented “We are very pleased to be part of today’s announcement and to be working with our new commercial partners, Balkan Holidays, offering charter flights/package holidays to Bulgaria from Spring 2014. These are excellent additions to our current schedule. The airport is continually investigating opportunities with new partners in order to add destinations to our existing portfolio. We believe Bulgaria will be an extremely popular holiday destination. We understand that in the current climate competitively priced holidays are important, so to be able to offer this to Cornish residents is positive news”.
David Surley, Head of Business & Route Development at Cambridge Airport commented, “Balkan Holidays introducing the fantastic sun-drenched beach resorts of Bulgaria’s beautiful Black Sea coast is exciting news for Cambridge holidaymakers and sun-seekers from across our region. We are thrilled to welcome flights direct to Bourgas as part of our rapidly expanding range of sensational destinations. Great resorts like Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Sozopol, Duni and Pomorie offer wonderful sun-filled beach holidays, as well as the fascinating history of the Balkan peninsular region and unquestionably one of Europe’s finest coastlines.
