DAY 1 Sunday: Dubrovnik
Arrive from the UK and settle at your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik area.
DAY 2 Monday: Dubrovnik area - Explore Dubrvonik by cable car
Morning transfer to Pile Gate where you will join an excursion to explore Dubrovnik by cable car. Once at the top you will have a panoramic view of Dubrovnik from the surrounding Srdj hill. Once you have descended, your guide will lead you by foot to the Old Town for the walking tour. There you will see one of the largest and most luxurious open air museum towns in existence. You will be in awe of the labyrinth of short, narrow stone streets, the market place, palaces, towers, monasteries and houses, each of which is over 300 years old! Early afternoon return transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik area.
DAY 3 Tuesday: Dubrovnik area - Ancient Montenegro
Mild beaches, clear waters and gorgeous mountains that plunge into the sea will greet you upon your arrival to the Gulf of Kotor. Visit to the baroque shore town of Perast and a short boat ride from town will take you to one of the two islets in the Bay to visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks which houses one of the finest collections of wall paintings in this part of Europe. In the UNESCO protected town of Kotor enjoy a guided tour through one of the best preserved medieval walled cities on the Adriatic. Afterwards free time at leisure. Upon return, dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik area.
DAY 4 Wednesday: Dubrovnik - Makarska Riviera
Morning departure to Mostar, a city of poetry, stone and sleepy, narrow winding streets. Experience sights such as the Old Bazaar, the Turkish House and one of the many old Mosques. After the guided tour of the town enjoy some free time for strolling around and browsing among the many old craft shops or maybe have lunch in one of the picturesque local restaurants. Dinner and overnight in Makarska Riviera.
DAY 5 Thursday: Makarska Riviera - Split and Trogir
Split is situated on a peninsula and surrounded by historical towns and settlements. A walk through the 4th century Diocletian's Palace to visit its ancient cellars, Peristyle, Roman temples, Cathedral and Baptistery and the famous Golden Gate followed by sightseeing and some free time at leisure. Departure for Trogir, a small town under the cultural protection of the UNESCO. There will be a guided tour where you can see the Cathedral with its famous portal, the Cipiko palace, the City Loggia from the 15th century, the town hall and the Benedictine monastery from the year 1064. Dinner and overnight in Makarska Riviera.
DAY 6 Friday: Makarska
Day at leisure or you can choose to do an optional excursion to Krka National Park or Sibenik (payable locally). Dinner and overnight in Makarska Riviera.
DAY 7 Saturday: Makarska - Dubrovnik
In the morning leave for Ploce where a ferry will take you to Trpanj on Peljesac peninsula. Continue toward Orebic where a short boat ride will take you to the town of Korcula. Experience the narrow streets, beautiful churches and magnificent palaces in one of the best preserved Medieval towns in the Mediterranean. After some time at leisure return back to the Peljesac peninsula with a short stop in the small town of Ston, before a late afternoon arrival in Dubrovnik. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik area.
DAY 8 Sunday: Dubrovnik - Departure
Transfer to Dubrovnik Airport for a homeward journey or hotel of your choice in Dubrovnik for second week.
