DAY 1 Sunday: Dubrovnik
Arrive from the UK and settle at your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik area.
DAY 2 Monday: Dubrovnik area - Explore Dubrovnik by cable car
Morning transfer to Pile Gate where you will join an excursion to explore Dubrovnik by cable car. Once at the top you will have a panoramic view of Dubrovnik from the surrounding Srdj hill. Once you have descended, your guide will lead you by foot to the Old Town for the walking tour. There you will see one of the largest and most luxurious open air museum towns in existence. You will be in awe of the labyrinth of short, narrow stone streets, the market place, palaces, towers, monasteries and houses, each of which is over 300 years old! Early afternoon return transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik area.
DAY 3 Tuesday: Dubrovnik area
Day of leisure. Optional excursions available locally. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik area.
DAY 4 Wednesday: Dubrovnik - Makarska Riviera
Visit Ston - the town of salt and oysters. Scenic ride across Peljesac peninsula. Wine tasting in local winery. Bus and boat transfer to Korcula island. Walking tour of the Old Town admiring stunning architecture. Free time in Korcula Old Town. Returning to Orebic. Ferry ride from Trpanj to Ploce. Afternoon arrival in Makarska. Dinner and overnight in Makarska Riviera.
DAY 5 Thursday: Makarska Riviera - Split and Trogir
Situated on a peninsula and surrounded by historical towns and settlements, Split features the 4th century Diocletian's Palace. A walk through the largest Croatian coastal town and its creative food and shopping scene and of course remarkable cultural heritage. Departure for Trogir, a small town also under the cultural protection of the UNESCO. There will be another guided tour where you can admire fine architecture including the Cathedral's portal, the Town Loggia and Cipiko Palace. Dinner and overnight in Makarska Riviera.
DAY 6 Friday: Makarska
Day at leisure or you can choose to do an optional excursion to Krka National Park or Sibenik (payable locally). Dinner and overnight in Makarska Riviera.
DAY 7 Saturday: Makarska - Dubrovnik
Depart Makarska Riviera in the morning by catamaran. Arrive at your hotel early in the afternoon. Dinner in the hotel and overnight in Dubrovnik area.
DAY 8 Sunday: Dubrovnik - Departure
Transfer to Dubrovnik Airport for a homeward journey or hotel of your choice in Dubrovnik for second week.
Twin or double room with shower.
