For clients travelling on Balkan Holidays Air, one piece of hand baggage/person weighing up to 5 kg and 56cm x 45cm x 25cm in dimension can be carried on board. Should the weight or size of the carry-on baggage exceed the 5 kg limit, the baggage will be carried in the baggage hold, and it will be considered as checked baggage. Laptops count as one item of hand luggage and Ski Boots cannot be taken as hand luggage.

Infants are not entitled to a luggage allowance on Balkan Holidays Air Flights. But collapsible pushchairs, car seats and travel cots will be carried free of charge.

Baggage allowance is based on one checked in piece of luggage per person weighing a maximum of 20kg. Two people's allowance can be combined. Baggage over 20kg will be charged at a rate of £8 per kilo at the airport. If you think you may exceed your allowance, extra kilos can be pre-booked HERE.

Check in will open Two Hours before the scheduled time of departure.

Check in will close strictly 40 minutes before the scheduled time of departure. It is your responsibility to arrive at the airport in plenty of time.

From this year's Winter season onboard catering is changing on BH Air flights. A new range of food and drink can be purchased on board, so you don't need to book your in-flight meal in advance.

Airline regulations state that after 28 weeks at the time of return, you must have a medical certificate to prove fitness to travel. After 32 weeks permission to travel is normally refused.

You must be 18 years of age or over to travel alone on a Balkan Holidays Charter Flight..

Transfers are included on all Balkan Holidays Packages. This will be displayed on your Balkan Holidays confirmation invoice, but not on your e-ticket.

If you have pre-booked a flight only transfer with Balkan Holidays you will be transported to either Hotel Kuban in Sunny Beach or Hotel Shipka in Golden Sands. You will not be able to be dropped off or collected from any other point.

Documentation for late bookings will be issued on a Monday if your booking was made over the weekend. If an email address has been provided this will be the form of communication.

You can check in for the flight with only your passport. An E-Ticket/Itinerary will be emailed to you if you have booked online or if you have provided an email over the phone at the time of booking. Please arrange to print this and take on holiday for your reference. Balkan Holidays do not issue separate vouchers for hotels and transport.

All passengers, apart from those travelling on a charter flight with Balkan Holidays Air are required to fill in API. All passengers up to the age of 17 should complete the API as a child regardless of the price paid or Balkan Holidays Invoice. Failure to provide API prior to travelling could result in you not being allowed to travel.

If you have booked through an agent, you need to call the agent to add any extras or to make changes to your originally booked holiday arrangements. If you booked an extra through Paxport, please liaise with them directly.

All enquires regarding Tailor Made bookings with Balkan Holidays should be made directly to them by email or telephone.  At peak times calls and during out of office hours will be transferred to Reservations. Reservations will not be able to deal with your enquiry but they will pass it to our tailor made department. The Tailor Made Department is open from Monday – Friday from 09.00 – 17.30hrs. Customers have to get off the plane on inbound double touch flights and go through custom services. All liquids bought in duty free in Bulgaria have to be EU sealed otherwise liquids above 100ml will be taken by custom services.
