Lake Bohinj Holidays

The area surrounding Lake Bohinj offers breathtaking views of the Julian Alps that are mirrored in the tranquil lake below. A number of small villages make up what is known as Lake Bohinj.

The 2 ski areas that are accessible to guests staying in Lake Bohinj, offer a good variety of runs and make Lake Bohinj ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers. There are also some excellent cross country tracks through the Pokljuka Plateau and exciting guided ski tours through the Julian Alps to ensure a memorable skiing holiday. For the non-skier there is a good range of activities to enjoy, as well as a good selection of apres ski.

Lake Bohinj Resort Guide

A good quality ski school ensures excellent tuition with English speaking instructors. There are also some long and wide blue runs that will help to increase any beginners' confidence levels.

Intermediate skiers will enjoy the challenge of trying a host of different runs, available across both ski areas. There are plenty of red runs waiting to be tackled across all the ski areas.

Although there are a good number of black runs to be enjoyed, advanced skiers will find the skiing here fairly limited, although they will no doubt enjoy the opportunity of being able to ski in different ski areas during their holiday.

There is great tuition available for those wanting to learn to snowboard, as well as many blue and red runs for the more experienced. The Vogel snow park is among the best in Slovenia and suitable for all levels.
