Bulgaria Skiing and Snowboarding Holidays offer great value for money...

Bulgaria is a picturesque country offering great skiing and snowboarding holidays for both beginners and intermediate skiers.

With a wide range of accommodation the resorts of Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo continue to prove popular choices for skiers and snowboarders, thanks to the excellent facilities, skillfully prepared pistes, unbeatably priced après ski and continue to benefit from substantial investment in the resort and facilities.

The award winning learn to ski packages are known for their fantastic value for money and the highly rated tuition is second to none. Whilst those looking for excellent après ski will not be disappointed with numerous bars open until late and the many restaurants waiting to welcome you after a tiring day on the slopes.

Bulgaria is simple the ideal choice for an action packed value for money ski holiday.

BANSKO

Bankso is the newest and most modern of the Bulgarian ski resorts, situated at the base of the Pirin mountains Bansko offers breath taking alpine scenery and excellent skiing, with 65km of marked ski run available, combined with the traditional spirit of a small town. With numerous blue and red runs this is the perfect resort for beginners and intermediate skiers, whist snowboarders will enjoy the added attraction and challenge of the half pipe and we are sure they will be pleased to hear that some of the older drag lifts have been replaced with more friendlier chair lifts. During the last few years the resort has become a favourite to many, including ski legends such as Alberto Tomba, who often frequents  the challenging black runs, while Mark Girardelli, Hannes Trinkl and other sport celebrities are often spotted on the slopes. Deservedly featured as the ‘Best New European Ski Resort’, Bansko takes the winter experience to a new high, offering great value from money on a     wide range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets.

BOROVETS

Borovets is the largest, most established and definitely one of the liveliest of the Bulgarian ski resorts attracting many repeat guests each year. Situated in the stunning Rila mountains only 75 kilometres from Sofia, the number of blue and red runs make this a great resort for both beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders wanting to improve their technique on the wide and open slopes, whilst the more advanced skier will enjoy the challenge of the old World Cup ski course. In a recent survey by the Post Office comparing value for money in ski resorts across Europe, US and Canada Borovets was named as the 3rd best resort for value for money. Even at the end of a busy day on the slopes you'll find it hard not to be tempted to enjoy the excellent red runs heading back into the resort where the many vibrant bars and restaurants are waiting to welcome you. A skiing holidays to Borovets really does have the perfect mixture for a wonderful skiing holiday: great skiing during the day and a fantastic blend of après-ski entertainment in the evenings, at great prices.

PAMPOROVO

Nestled high in the pine forests of the Rhodope mountains, which is undoubtedly the most beautiful mountain range in Bulgaria. Pamporovo has won the hearts of many with its picturesque scenery, coupled with, being one of the sunniest mountain resorts, its great value for money and its famed fantastic local cuisine. Boasting an average of 270 sunny days each year, here at the smallest of the Bulgarian ski resorts you will find the queues are shorter and the slopes are less crowded to make your skiing experience one you will never forget. A fantastic resort for both beginners and intermediate skiers. Beginners will find it hard to find more enjoyable slopes, running through fantastic scenery, whilst the more intermediate and advanced skiers will enjoy the the excellent red and black runs and lets not forget the suitably named “Wall” the World Cup Downhill run or the moguls that are just waiting to be tackled.
