Balkan Holidays have confirmed an expansion for ski holidays to Slovenia, with immediate effect.
Balkan Holidays has added flights and two hotels to their package holiday programme to Slovenia. Adding flights to the country via Salzburg, Austria, Balkan Holidays now provide flights from 11 airports for winter.
Whilst transfers will be longer than via Slovenia’s main gateway of Ljubljana, they will be 2.5 hours to Kranjska Gora via Salzburg.
New airports served for winter are: Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool and Manchester. Existing airports continuing to be served are: London Gatwick, Luton and Stansted.
A range of scheduled airline partners will be used.
Commenting on this development, Head of Marketing Louise Newton said, ‘We have wanted to expand our Slovenia programme for a long time, and adding Salzburg flights from the regional airport hubs makes sense. These new flights and hotels make us the number one choice for Slovenia.’

Balkan Holidays also intend to offer summer 2020 and summer 2021 holidays to Slovenia via Salzburg from five UK airports.
Eco hotel addition for Summer 2020

Hotel Spik added for Winter and Summer
The Hotel Spik is located in the Slovenian mountains at Kranjska Gora, and is now on sale with Balkan Holidays for winter 19/20 and summer 2020.
It is located in the idyllic and tranquil setting of Gozd Martuljek, 5 kilometres from Kranjska Gora. In winter, there is easy access via a free ski bus to the slopes of Kranjska Gora, and this perfect retreat to return to in the evening.
The hotel boasts a wellness centre with relaxation pool, swimming pool, children’s pool, saunas, an ice pit, cool-off pool, Jacuzzi, massage and a gym.
The Hotel Spik is from £509 per person, departing on 9th March 2020 and including return flights from London Gatwick, transfers and 7 nights’ half board.
