According to the Post Office report for 2019, Bansko, Bulgaria is the Best-Value Ski Resort for families. The report compares the cost of a lift-pass, tuition, lunch and drinks on the mountains and ski and boot hire for a family of four. In all, 25 resorts were compared. The cost of the all the items in Bansko was £1529.72, a reduction of 0.3% since last year. Following the extention of the deadline in their unilateral contigency legislation released today, the EU have confirmed that UK airlines will still be able to operate flights between the UK and the EU until at least October next year. The deadline for this contigency was set for March 2020 under the previous legislation however this new extention will now allow customers to book their travel further in advance with confidence that flight schedules will not be affected ABTA confirmed. Baba Marta is known as 'Grandma March Day' and is a holiday celebrated in Bulgaria on the 1st day of March. Bulgarians wear an item called a Martenitsa, usually in the form of a wrist band which is woven by binding red and white coloured threads together. The Martenitsa are not only worn on the day to celebrate the holiday but also through the month of March until a stork or a bloomed tree is seen which symbolizes warmer weather and good health. Brexit & Your UK Passport Published: 17 Jan 2019
Should the United Kingdom leave the European Union on March 29th with no deal, the rules for travel to our destinations is expected to change. With this in mind, the government has started accelerating its plans for a no deal EU exit and wants to ensure you are also prepared for any changes that come from a no deal Brexit.
