Let’s talk Glorious Golden Sands!
A fabulous beach resort in the north of Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast.
Golden Sands is a wonderful beach resort located 25kms from Varna on the beautiful Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. Varna is Bulgaria’s ‘second’ city and Golden Sands is actually the second largest beach resort in Bulgaria, after Sunny Beach. We are so pleased to say that current Skiing and Snowboarding conditions in Bansko and Borovets are excellent and our wonderful guests are having the time of their lives!
The snow is deep and conditions are excellent in both Bansko and Borovets. The skiing in these two resorts are good for all types of skiers, including beginner, intermediate and advanced. Plus, the great news is that snow is forecast this weekend (20 & 21 January) so conditions will be even better for the weeks to come.

Bansko is a town in south west Bulgaria located at the foot of the Pirin Mountain, 925 metres above sea level rising to 2746 metres at the top of Todorka, the highest peak in Bansko. Bansko is an actual town where people live, work and go to school, this is very different from Borovets (our other featured ski resort in Bulgaria), which is a purpose built ski resort.
