For those interested in Mediterranean culture, such as dance and music, the destination for this Summer is Slovenia, and the Mediterranean International Folklore Festival (MIFF). This year’s MIFF will be held on the Slovenian coast from 4th July to 8th July 2012. Performances will take place in popular seaside resorts, such as Portoroz, Piran and Koper.
The festival has been organised since 2003 by the Folklore Association VAL Piran. The purpose of the festival is to present the folklore dances, music and singing and the cultural variety of Mediterranean countries to the public.
This popular festival has been building friendship among Mediterranean countries for nearly a decade now, and has already spread across the border: since 2007 the Festival has been also held in Umag, Croatia.
The entrance to the entire programme is FREE, so book your Summer Holiday to Slovenia now to have an unforgettable Mediterranean experience!
