Pamporovo is a fantastic ski resort. It is set high in the Rhodope Mountains among magnificent pine forests at a height of 1,620 metres, it has 38 km of marked ski runs, including the a new 7km long run and 25 kilometers of cross country tracks. There is another new feature, lift passes will give you access to the Mechi Chal ski zone at Chepelare resort with a free shuttle bus service to take you between the two. Chepelare is just 10kms from Pamporovo and it has the longest ski run in Bulgaria.

This week we take a look at Borovets, Bulgaria’s most popular ski resort, although Bansko, its noisy neighbour, is gaining all the time!
Set in the Rila Mountains, Borovets was originally developed for Bulgarian royalty to use almost exclusively, but thankfully these days everyone can visit and enjoy this wonderful ski resort with its soaring mountain peaks, excellent skiing and a lively apres ski scene.

We are so pleased to say that current Skiing and Snowboarding conditions in Bansko and Borovets are excellent and our wonderful guests are having the time of their lives!
The snow is deep and conditions are excellent in both Bansko and Borovets. The skiing in these two resorts are good for all types of skiers, including beginner, intermediate and advanced. Plus, the great news is that snow is forecast this weekend (20 & 21 January) so conditions will be even better for the weeks to come.

Bansko is a town in south west Bulgaria located at the foot of the Pirin Mountain, 925 metres above sea level rising to 2746 metres at the top of Todorka, the highest peak in Bansko. Bansko is an actual town where people live, work and go to school, this is very different from Borovets (our other featured ski resort in Bulgaria), which is a purpose built ski resort.
