A new joint campaign by ABTA and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office warning holidaymakers of the dangers of balconies was launched following a number of recent incidents in the resorts of Sunny Beach and Majorca. One British national has died and several more young tourists have been injured this month following falls from balconies during their holiday according to the latest statistics. These latest incidents have taken the number of reported cases this summer to seven. There were 14 incidents reported last year with many involving young people and alcohol.

According to the latest Post Office Worldwide Holiday Costs Barometer, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria has taken the top spot for the first time with a clear margin of victory over its two closest rivals, Japan and the Algarve.
Its reputation for value made 2017 a good year for Bulgaria and the Bulgarian lev’s appearance in the Post Office’s Fastest Growing Currencies chart was evidence of increased consumer demand. At £37.92 for eight tourist items including a meal for two, drinks, suncream and insect repellent, Sunny Beach can expect to attract more bargain-hunters in the year ahead.

Over the last few years the 5* Melia Grand Hermitage has become a great choice of hotel for family holidays. The hotel's fantastic children's program starts by welcoming the kids with two unique Kids Clubs.
