We are proud to announce that Balkan Holidays have become a supporter of Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that improves the lives of people affected by cancer. The charity was founded more than a hundred years ago and has supported local information and support centers, cancer support groups, benefits advisers and cancer support specialists ever since.
Macmillan fund nurses and other specialist health care professionals and build cancer care centers and can help with practical, medical, financial and emotional support.

It has just been announced that soon travellers returning to the United Kindgom will no longer need to take any tests on their return. For travellers and the travel industry, this is wonderful news! The last time we had any skiers on holiday with us, in fact any holiday makers at all, was in March 2020, thanks to Covid. It’s been a tough 20 months, the travel industry has been hit really hard throughout the pandemic. What makes it difficult for travel companies is they can’t just shut your doors and furlough all staff because we need to service all our customers who have holidays booked. Balkan Holidays has asked Jessica Jane Applegate to be their official ambassador for Bulgaria in 2020, in particular to promote flights direct to Bulgaria from Norwich airport, near her home.
Jessica Jane is Para GB champion paralymic swimmer, consistently winning in category S14 since 2012. She fell in love with Bulgaria when she visited with her family.

Balkan Holidays have confirmed an expansion for ski holidays to Slovenia, with immediate effect.
Balkan Holidays has added flights and two hotels to their package holiday programme to Slovenia. Adding flights to the country via Salzburg, Austria, Balkan Holidays now provide flights from 11 airports for winter.
Whilst transfers will be longer than via Slovenia’s main gateway of Ljubljana, they will be 2.5 hours to Kranjska Gora via Salzburg.
