Cancelling your holiday

In the event of you having to cancel your holiday, the lead passenger must inform Balkan Holidays either by:

  • Recorded delivery letter
  • Email
  • Fax

We can accept no responsibility for cancellation charges arising from correspondence delayed or lost in the mail, therefore it is your responsibility to contact us in our Reservations Department on 0207 543 5555 and ensure we have received your letter/email/fax notifciation.

A cancellation fee will be applicable for all cancellations, the closer the cancellation is to the departure date, the higher the charge will be.  Please see the Booking Conditions for more details.

Customers cannot transfer their deposits to another season and Insurance premiums are not refundable.

We strongly recommend that you take out our holiday insurance, which covers cancellation charges as well as many other holiday contingencies.


Please ensure that your holiday details are 100% correct before confirming your bookings.

If you are flying on either a Low Cost airline or certain Charter airline, please note that amendments and cancellations are not permitted (the tickets are non-changeable, non-refundable and non-transferable). Therefore in the event of a cancellation, your deposit will not be refunded. Any amendments that need to be made, will result in you having to cancel/forfeit your flight, with the loss of deposit and having to then re-book a new flight incurring the full new flight cost.

Having had holidays with you in St Konstantin for the last 10 - 12 years and never having had any problems with flights ( except for the odd hour delay, which is understandable ) I was surprised to find that my return flight to Luton had been cancelled completely. What I would like to do is firstly thank your representative in St Konstantin, Desi, who let me down very gently with the information and then proceeded to work through her lunch break to find me another hotel room for the night and then into the night to keep me informed of progress on the rebooking of the flight. I would also like to thank the rest of the staff in both Golden Sands and London for procuring for me another ticket for the next day (which I am sure was no easy task at such short notice). It is employees like these that makes me come back to Balkan Holidays year after year.
